One of the popular programs of Canadian government is the FSTC, managed by Canada’s Express Entry system. Therefore, as a first step to immigration, you need to apply as tradesperson. Following, you must create an online Express Entry profile to get a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. The CRS score is ranked against other candidates in the same pool of Express Entry. Although, FSTC earn low grades than the other candidates applying for FSWC or Canadian Experience Class (CEC), due to non-requirement to prove the level of qualification in order to apply in the pool.
Canadian Experience Class
The candidates who have already obtained working experience in Canada has added over the other foreign candidates of getting permanent residency. Government gives them preference because they the candidates being already settled in Canadian environment and possess great chances of growing ahead.
Such candidates can apply for Canadian Experience Class (CEC) for securing permanent residency in Canada. All the applications are processed through the Express Entry selection system.
The applicants before application must fulfil all the set criteria. After, they must make an expression showing interest in immigrating to Canada and create an online Express Entry profile.
Applicants of CEC must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Have obtained at least one year of skilled, professional or technical work experience in Canada within 36 months of the application date; and
- Meet or surpass a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 5 (“initial intermediate”) or 7 (“adequate intermediate proficiency”), depending on the level of the job; and
Plan to live and work outside of the province of Quebec (individuals with work experience in Quebec and who plan to reside in Quebec may apply to the Quebec Experience Class)
